You’re struggled needle work reminded me of the great idea I had when I was 5 months pregnant with my first child to crochet him a baby blanket. Of course i unwittingly chose one of the more harder styles of crochet- the wavey line pattern (I think there was a fancy name for he style, but I’m not fancy enough to remember it).
My son is 4 in two weeks time and he has the blanket on his bed still.
It is made from really soft wool & awesome colours the clash just the right amount.
It is not even, neat, without holes and a great example of crochet work done well. But I did it and he loves it.
So, I guess in my roundabout way I’m saying that even if your donut ends up being a really long pink chain with some stuff super-glued onto, I’m sure she will love it. Kids are rad like that.
I need to try again tomorrow. The guide I have is impossible to understand. I am going to do some YouTube surfing this weekend and see what I can learn. I love the fact that your son still has that blanket. My kids have heaps of amazing quilts made by my mum. They are very lucky.
The reason it looks weird in your title is that you put an extra “t” in it.
lol! Yes you are right. I will fix that.
