Crochet. This Word Just Looks Weird. You Should Listen and Watch Instead (video)

I’m back.

Part Two

I am not very good at this. I have learnt how to do a good chain stitch but still trying to figure out the rest.

Thought that counts.

  1. You’re struggled needle work reminded me of the great idea I had when I was 5 months pregnant with my first child to crochet him a baby blanket. Of course i unwittingly chose one of the more harder styles of crochet- the wavey line pattern (I think there was a fancy name for he style, but I’m not fancy enough to remember it).

My son is 4 in two weeks time and he has the blanket on his bed still.
It is made from really soft wool & awesome colours the clash just the right amount.
It is not even, neat, without holes and a great example of crochet work done well. But I did it and he loves it.

So, I guess in my roundabout way I’m saying that even if your donut ends up being a really long pink chain with some stuff super-glued onto, I’m sure she will love it. Kids are rad like that.

    • I need to try again tomorrow. The guide I have is impossible to understand. I am going to do some YouTube surfing this weekend and see what I can learn. I love the fact that your son still has that blanket. My kids have heaps of amazing quilts made by my mum. They are very lucky.
